Tickhill is a small town in South Yorkshire, about 9 miles south of Doncaster. We are easily accessible from the main M1 motorway and A1, and Doncaster is on the main railway line from London to Edinburgh. The Robin Hood airport is just 20 minutes away. Many people think that Yorkshire consists of nothing but steel works and coal mines. How wrong they are. Tickhill itself is a very attractive little town with a delightful shopping area and many interesting features one would find in an old town which was once a large important town with a castle - now just the remains exist. The church gives some indication if what a large town Tickhill had been, seeming very big for the small town which exists today. We are within easy reach of interesting towns such as York Leeds and Harrogate - all are under an hour's drive up the M1. The beautiful Peak District is about an hour away, either via Sheffield or Chesterfield with it's famous crooked spire.
