Jane Harrop Oct 2011

This weekend was the second in the Jane Harrop’s Provençal House trilogy! You probably all know that we had to commit to partake in 3 sessions in order to complete the house, which we did enthusiastically. It is difficult to relate how we got on each time as we have been doing parts of the project but having to return to them to complete next time. Regarding the building of the house, we put in the beams. and then started on the courtyard. The roof was a challenge - about 400 tiles to make. We did it though - without complaint? - and they looked great when done. Jane’s inventive mind has worked overtime on this project - the most amazing thing being the cooker into which we had to put shelves made from Aida canvas! Who, but Jane, would have thought of such a thing?
