Jane Harrop en Provence
04/04/11 13:23
We had some visitors on this course who fortunately entertained the participants rather than annoying them. Yes, Maisie and Chip thought they were course members. I try to keep the dogs away from the courses but on this course, when sanding was done, everyone went outside to do it and of course the dogs thought they were coming to see them so joined in.

We were all very excited about Jane’s course this time as it was the first of the 3 part course where we will be building Jane’s Provence house. As ever, Jane was superbly organised - quite apart from having all the kits packed individually in little packets, she also had books on Provençal houses and a slide show of pictures taken in France depicting the typical architecture of the area.

Unfortunately it is difficult to show what everyone did on the course as of course, nothing was completed but suffice to say that we all felt we had done a lot - beginning with the structure itself and also starting on windows and shutters and also a washbowl cabinet. It was great having 3 days with Jane - she enjoyed it too - and I hope the 3 day courses will continue after the completion of this project.
Course members are here and the Gallery will give quite an impression of how the course went but unfortunately I can’t detail what each person did this time. I hope, however, that you gain an idea of how much we enjoyed the 3 days
