I
like to think of my
general courses as 'your choice' courses. In effect, that means that you
can choose to do whatever you like. Some people bring their dollshouses
to electrify. Others like to decorate and learn to mitre their coving
and skirting boards, or make a fireplace from wood mouldings. If you do
not have a dollshouse, or it is too big to bring with you, there are any
number of things you could do, from making a roombox to making
furniture, either from wood and upholstery or wicker, which is
very popular as it will fit into any dollshouse. I have lots of patterns
you could use or you may bring our own. I enjoy making a room look
'lived in' and this means not just the building but everything that goes
into a room including the furniture and soft furnishings such as rugs
and curtains. You could choose to change your existing rooms and put
some life into them.
How do you feel about using power tools? I have everything you are likely
to need in my workshop and you could learn to use them, while working on
your project.
I have put in some
pictures of a recent general course to give you an idea of the kind of
thing you could do:
Don't forget to click on the images to enlarge them.
Why not bring your
dollshouse to electrify or decorate? It's amazing how much you will do
in 3 days.

You could make Like
wicker furniture.........or a Knowle settee? Make this
in a weekend
a scene like
this
Not much room? You
could make a 1/24th night sky scene
Worried about
using power tools? Don't be. I will teach you to do it safely:
